A SUMAT paper has been selected for presentation at the influential Language Resources and Evaluation Conference, taking place between 26th-31st May in Reykjavik, Iceland. The paper, Machine Translation for Subtitling: A Large-Scale Evaluation, which received contributions from many of the SUMAT consortium partners, will be presented during the Oral Sessions schedule which is ongoing throughout the conference, and is one of over 1,000 research papers accepted for the event.
LREC is becoming the major event for language resources and evaluation of human language technologies. The aim of the conference is to provide an overview of the state-of-the-art, explore new research and development directions and emerging trends. It also offers businesses and consortiums from across Europe the chance to exchange information regarding language resources and their applications, evaluation methodologies and tools, industrial uses and needs, and requirements coming from the wider e-society, both with respect to policy issues and to technological and organisational ones.
Registration for the event is still open here: http://lrec2014.lrec-conf.org/en/registration/
We look forward to seeing you there!
